The Apostle Paul charges us in Romans 13:7 to give honor to whom it is due.

John and Mary Anthony deserve great honor! For three years they have served as the Camp Summit Constructor Supervisors in Costa Rica. There commitment to host teams and oversee the local building crew has released Kerry and me to minister to young people all around the world—all the while the camp continued to develop.

Today the camp is nearing completion, with less than $200,000 needed to finish. Next month (August 2005), Jeff Cooper, a missionary from Alabama will graduate from Spanish language school and assume the position of ministry director.

Camp Summit has never been better poised to fulfill the purpose for which it was built and for which so many have toiled and sacrificed. Because of the whole-hearted commitment of the Anthony’s, thousands upon thousands of men and boys in Latin America and the Caribbean, and beyond, will rise from the “vallies and shadows of death” and reach spiritual summits with God in this life and for eternity.

The Anthony’s now leave Camp Summit for a very different assignment in Northern Asia. This is a calling that John has had for many years and God “is doing it” (1 Thes. 5:24). We are deeply grateful to John and Mary for there investment at Camp Summit.
