There is an old Latin proverb that I love— “Nothing ages more quickly than gratitude.”
That is why I love Thanksgiving! It is a great American tradition; a custom unique to our nation. It is an annual opportunity to formally remind those you care about, how much you value them.
Did you know there are languages that do not have a simple way to say, “thank you?” It is true. Fortunately, gratitude is an attitude that does not always require words.
Right near the top of our “thank you list,” we find you—our friends and supporters. Kerry and I wanted to set aside this month’s blog to say, ¡GRACIAS! (Thank you!).
If it were not for your faithful prayers, friendship, and financial support, we would be unable to fulfill our missionary call. Our partnership over the last 13 years has determined the eternal destiny of boys and girls all around the world.

Royal Rangers in Latin America and the Caribbean has grown from 12,000 to over 45,000; Together we purchased and have nearly finished building the facilities at Camp Summit in Costa Rica; In the past three years alone our teamwork has helped establish Royal Rangers in 15 new nations such as Iceland, Bulgaria, Luxemburg, and others; And we are now completing new evangelism and discipleship curriculum that will soon be used all around the world to reach young people for Christ.
Our partnership is making a difference! The best thank you, however, is reserved for you when we reach heaven—when thousands of boys, in hundreds of languages, say, TANIKIU (Thank you in Hiri Motu, spoken in Papua New Guinea).
Please accept this note as a deep expression of appreciation for all the ways you faithfully stand with us. Together we are determining the destiny of nations!
