Doug, Kerry, Jonathan, & Katelyn Marsh

Doug was born into a missionary family and raised in Perú and Bolivia. At age six he became involved in Royal Rangers. During his teenage years in Bolivia, Doug served as the National Royal Rangers Training Coordinator. In this capacity he trained 125 leaders, oversaw the establishment of 33 new outposts involving 1,500 boys, and coordinated several district and national Royal Rangers camps. In 1988, he was the recipient of the Royal Rangers Gold Medal of Achievement.

Doug and Kerry are alumni of Central Bible College (’93). While attending college, Doug was responsible for the translation and cultural adaptation of the Royal Rangers curriculum into Spanish. Since 1989, he has coordinated training activities such as Leadership Training Courses and National Training Camps in 19 Latin American countries. Over 5000 trained men minister to more than 45,000 boys each week throughout Mexico, Central and South America, and the Caribbean.

Doug & Kerry have resided in Central America since 1993, when they were appointed as Assemblies of God missionaries. In 1997 the Marshes purchased an 80-acre international training and discipleship center for men and boys. Located in the tropics of Costa Rica, the center, known as Camp Summit, is strategic. It serves the purpose of developing ministries to men and boys throughout the region. In 2000, Doug launched Hombres de Honor (Men of Honor) in Costa Rica. It has since been adopted in thirteen Latin American countries.

Currently Doug is the director of Royal Rangers International. He is responsible for developing ministries that impact the lives of men and boys around the world.

Kerry is the daughter of public school teachers in Lenexa, Kansas. She enjoys singing and writing and is currently working toward a degree in counseling. The Marshes are the proud parents of two children born to them in Costa Rica, Jonathan (’97) and Katelyn (’99).

The Task at Hand

Doug is serving the worldwide fellowship as director of Royal Rangers International. He is passionate about equipping men around the world to reach and disciple today's boys to become tomorrow's godly men. Doug is committed to seeing boys come to Christ and become effective leaders in their homes, churches and nations.

How Can I Help?

  • Pray for the Marshes—“God’s army advances on its knees” (Hyde).
  • Share their need for monthly financial support with your church.
  • Challenge your Royal Rangers outpost to become monthly supporters of the Marshes’ ministry.
  • Make a personal monthly commitment to the Marshes.
  • Consider making a tax-deductible cash offering.
  • Organize a construction team to complete the facility development at Camp Summit.

Attention Royal Rangers Commanders!

Your outpost could raise $180 a year (just $15 a month) and reach thousands of boys around the world. Talk with your pastor. Urge him to sign a monthly commitment form. Share this ministry opportunity with your outpost. Then send your monthly offerings to Assemblies of God World Missions, account #249058(00). Your investment will make you a partner with the greatest army of Christian men and boys to ever span the globe. (Address: 1445 Boonville Ave., Springfield, MO 65802.)
